Q: What is the ESPNU Road to the Championship?
A: The ESPNU Road to the Championship (formerly the ESPNU Women’s Basketball Invitational) is a preseason women’s basketball doubleheader that is played in the same city as the women’s NCAA championship. The ESPNU Road to the Championship is an ESPN Regional TV (ERT) owned and operated event.

Q: Which teams will be playing in 2009?
A: The University of Connecticut, Texas Tech University, University of Tennessee and the University of Texas.

Q: Where and when will the games be played?
A: The games will be played at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX on Nov. 17, 2009.

Q: Will travel packages be available for the event?
A: Yes! Travel packages are available exclusively through Anthony Travel, the official travel provider for the ESPNU Road to the Championship. Fans can make their reservations by visiting AnthonyTravel.com and searching “ESPNU” or by calling 1-888-632-6951.

Q: Why the San Antonio AT&T Center?
A: Not only is the AT&T Center a great venue for basketball (it’s the home of the NBA’s Spurs and WNBA’s Silver Stars), San Antonio is a wonderful travel destination and great sports city. San Antonio is also the host city for the 2010 NCAA women’s basketball championship.

Q: What is ESPN Regional Television?
A: ESPN Regional Television (ERT) is the nation’s largest syndicator of collegiate sports programming. ERT produces more than 1,000 sporting events annually, including football, basketball, NCAA events, golf and NHRA events, which accounts for more than 2,200 live and/or original hours of programming. In addition to event ownership, ERT is the production headquarters for ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network; syndication rightsholder and producer of national, regional and local shows for college conferences.
