CLASSIC MATCHUPS: Matchups for the 2012 Jimmy V Women’s and Men’s Basketball Classics on Monday, Dec. 3, and Tuesday, Dec. 4, respectively, have been determined. The men’s doubleheader, held at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden for the 10th consecutive year, will tip off at 7 p.m. ET with Texas vs. Georgetown followed by North Carolina State vs. Connecticut at 9 p.m., both on ESPN. Meanwhile, the previously announced 2012 Jimmy V Women’s Classic will pit Connecticut against Maryland on Monday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The 11th annual game will be played at one of Connecticut’s two home facilities – the XL Center in Hartford or Gampel Pavilion on campus in Storrs.
